CART Network is a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and academics striving to advance Climate Action Research for Transportation and the quantification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at a municipal level. CART is sponsored by Environment and Climate Change Canada. This network emerged as part of Dalhousie Transportation Collaboratory (DalTRAC), combining the expertise of multiple disciplines including civil and resource engineering, urban planning, computer and data science, and risk management.

PROJECT GOAL

To develop new data, tools, and processes to characterize movements of people and goods and quantify finer-grained, geospatially resolved vehicular emissions (i.e., greenhouse gas (GHG) emission and air pollutants) in multiple Canadian cities, including Halifax, Moncton, Hamilton/Burlington, Ottawa, Calgary, and Surrey.
